Llwyn Bedw began as a simple farm cottage in the middle of the 18th century, and has been expanded and modified by its many occupants and owners.

Behind the house to the  east are the Eglwyseg rocks.

The garden faces south, and slopes towards the canal - to the right on the photograph. Beyond the canal is the River Dee and then the Llangollen Railway.
